The British Dyslexia Association to which SDA is affiliated, has changed its constitution regarding membership and voting.

Membership is extended beyond Local Dyslexia Association members to include Support Group members and Organisational members (previously supporting corporate members).

Voting under the new constitution is one member one vote. On a poll, votes may be given either personally or by proxy (this can be another member or delegate or the Chairman).

BDA wish to register the names and contact details of any member of Local Associations (such as SDA) who wish to be dual members of the BDA at no extra cost.

This information will be used to send an annual posting to the dual member notifying them of the Annual general meeting. They will have an individual vote

In order to comply with the Data Protection policy, these members must authorise in writing (for SDA records) the release of their contact details to the BDA.

For dual members, all other BDA information, for example `Contact', will be delivered by Shropshire Dyslexia Association as now.

If you wish to remain or become a dual member, please complete the slip below and return it with your SDA 2008 membership application.
